It's your God talking 10-15-18

Hey guys!! How are you? This last week was seriously crazy. I've been sick and so I'm going to the doctor. But we had a lot of miracles happen. First off it rained! A thunderstorm came through. We were able to talk to this lady about prayer and how god speaks. I told her I feel love thunder because it reminds me of god. You can just feel the power behind it. As we were talking the storm went right above us and set off 3 car alarms. She looked at me and said "there's god speaking to ya!" It was kind of a joke but not really. I really thought about It and god does speak. He is alive! He talks to every one of us in different ways. I challenge all of you to learn how he speaks to you and then listen. You'll be surprised what he may have to say to you. I love my heavenly father. He is amazing. He has blessed me so much. I grow every day because of Him. Another really cool miracle happened. Bob is someone we found along with his wife. Bob is dying. His heart is failing. But his wife was baptized and an active member for a few years before she died. Bob saw the light in her and her home teachers. Now he believes the only reason he's here is to get baptized and fallow his wife. Tammy his daughter is also ready to take steps. She just got out of jail and is ready to change her life. She takes care of Bob and has been for a while. The love she has for her father is palpable. It's so sweet. I respect them very much. Bob's wife has been there every time we go over to their house to teach them. She is there prompting and motivating them to accept the Gospel. Tammy and Bob both say they feel her every time we come. I think it's the spirit they are feeling but it could also be her as well. Please pray for them. Especially for Bob's health. He has to last a couple more weeks so he can get baptized. I have no doubt that after he is baptized God will take him and he will be with his dear wife. Thank you for al you do for me everyone! You are all so awesome! Stay that way!

Comets and Stuff 10-8-18

Hello!!! So this week has been pretty great. Last night we saw a comet in the sky we think. It looked like Jesus was coming again. It was nuts. We got a picture from some other sisters after it had ran into something in the sky and blew up. It was great.
Conference was awesome was it not!!?? I loved it! What a blessing it is to have president Nelson as our prophet today! Wow he is so cute. His words are true. I know if we put to practice the new family oriented plans we will be protected and armed from the adversaries attacks. He is intensifying his armies and his tactics. But we need not fear If we follow the prophet and the teachings of the scriptures.
We are working with a man named Bob and his daughter Tammy. They  are awesome. Bob has congenitive heart failure. So he's been in the hospital for a while. We went to visit him 2 days after he got out and the Lord blessed him and us to teach him and Tammy the restoration. We were able to resight the 1st vision to them and it was incredibly powerful. The noise of the world and distractions were muted as the spirit poured into the room and penetrated our hearts. I know the prophet Joseph smith saw our God and our Savior. What a blessing it is to live today! The restored gospel is on the earth and we have opportunity to be apart of it. I love you all! Keep keepin on. Pray, read, and love!

The blue light is the comet thingy. Y'all probably have seen it on the news already but I no nothing of the world right now hahaha. Missionary life!

Goodbye Placentia 10-1-18

Hello guys!! Today is very busy for me so this won't be too long! I'm transferring areas today and tomorrow I'll pick up my new companion fresh off the plain! Idk who she is yet but I'm excited to meet her! I will be teaching her for the next 3 months! The new area we will be in is called Yorba linda. It's up in Anaheim hills. I hear the ward I'm going to is pretty cool so I'm excited.
I just want to bare my testimony that I know the gospel of Jesus Christ it the one an only true church here on the earth. We are comprised of a spirit and a body created by supreme beings, our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They love us! I've really come to know this!
This week we haven't had too much happen except knocking on a dozens of doors and street contacting! It's hard but very fulfilling. My knuckles we swollen after one day of knocking for 8 hours straight! Hahaha it was nuts! I couldnt believe that would actually happen but it did. Maybe i just knock to hard. But a few things came out of our efforts. We found a girl named Maggie and she's so sweet and has a pretty solid idea of her purpose and the light of christ shines very brightly from her. We will meet with here again today. We also we able to receive a bunch of referrals. 4 in one week! I couldn't believe it! I haven't experience one referral on the mission until my last week in Placentia. It was crazy. So far we have only been able to contact 1 of them. The others we are still trying to find. Hopefully this week my new companion and I will start building a teaching pool! I'm excited to see what adventures await! I love you all! Let me know how you are doing!

Find your Sycamore Tree 9-24-18

Hello my beautiful family and freinds! How are you all? This last week has been a crazy week! Some crazy things happened. We lost contact with pretty much everyone we were teaching. So that was pretty hard. Ricky disappeared. We can't get a hold of him in any way so we have been praying a lot that we will find him at the park some time again. It's been three weeks since we have talked to him so we'll see what happens. This last week we all got sick in some way or another and had to spend a lot of time in. So that was pretty hard. But this week looks like we have plenty of hours to go finding! Which is going to be super great! Hopefully we can build our teaching pool. So we had stake conference this Sunday and an area 70 came to speak. He shared the story of Zacchaeus. In chapter 19. So pretty much what happens is Jesus is traveling through Jerico. And all the people are gathering to see the savior of the world. Well this man name Zacchaeus really wants to see him. Zacchaeus  is a chief among the publicans and very wealthy. But he was "small in stature" haha like me! He was to short to see over the crowds of people gathered to see Jesus. So he ran further down this road mapping out where the savior might go next and he climbed up a sycomore tree. Vs 4 "And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him for he ( Jesus) was to pass that way." And when Jesus walked passed he looked up and saw this man watching him from the tree! Haha I can really relate to this guy because I would need a tree too!
So Jesus called to him and told him pretty much to come down and "for today I must abide at thy house" Jesus says to him.
So zacchaeus got down and "received him joyfully".
What a great example this story sets up for us. Do we have our personal sycamore tree to climb so we can look passed the things of this world that crowed around the truth and make it hard to see and know our savior? How are we rising above all of that so we can take him in and receive him joyfully in our homes and in our hearts. What a beautiful opportunity we have to come to know our savior every day and let him be a part of our lives!
I know this gospel is true. It's the only way to salvation and true and everlasting happiness.
I love you all! Have a great week!

Don't count the days make the days count 9-17-18

Ok so I learned this saying from a sister In the mission. And how true it is. When we wake up in the morning and decide to make the day count (aka dedicating it to the lord) we are truly happy! Last week was a little rough. We had a great mission conference and got to attend the temple. It was amazing. I felt so at peace there and could tell I was surrounded by angels from beyond the veil. After all these good experiences I hit a weird low point. Many passed problems began to haunt me and I felt down. I talked with my president and he gave me some good council. Of course to put my faith and trust in the lord. Let him carry the load i am carrying and move forward. But I also took the saying make every day count so literally. As I wake up i think to myself what I am going to do for the lord today. Am I going to speak to everyone I see? Am i going to knock on as many doors as I can? Will I serve my companions? All of those things. Even though we hardly get people to listen I can still show the lord every day that I'm making 6:30am to 9:00pm count. Make the days count and you will find joy in every step you take! I love you all! Have a good week!

Sitting at the feet of God 9-11-18

Hello family and friends! Sorry it's been a while since I've emailed! It's been really busy here in Placentia. So much has happened. We had a mission conference yesterday and one of the 70 came to talk to us. It was amazing. He laid out a foundation before he began really giving us his two sense about missionary work. The foundation was about our relationship with our Father in Heaven. How beautiful it is! Our relationship is so individual with Him. We leanred from him on such a personal intimate level. And we are his chosen to come to earth right now and be apart of the gathering of Israel! These are the last days my friends. We have a purpose here! I know it. My testimony has grown so much in that I know my father in heaven knows me and I know him. When I enter into his presence someday I know I will recognize him and he will be more familiar to me then i could ever imagine. This is true for all of us. So choose him!
These last couple of weeks have been busy. We are teaching a man named Ricky. He is awesome and super ready to hear the gospel. We are also working with a lady named sarla. She has some scary family problems and so we are trying to figure out a way to teach her. But she as well is super ready. I love you all! I am praying for You! Have a great week.

Hello everyone!!!

So this week was insane. We had pretty much everything fall through we had planned with people and we have had to make some hard decisions about whether or not we stop teaching someone. Amber still hasn't come to church and it's so frustrating for us because we know how much of a blessing it will be for them. It's been a month since we've been teaching them and so we are really trying to find out a way to really help them feel the impotence of faith in God and his will.

But over all Ive learned a lot. God is good and is giving us new chances to find people every day. Sometimes the search for those who are ready feels endless. But I know that with faith and diligence the Lord puts people in our paths just like hermana barthlome said in her email if you get them. I truly know that god does prepare people. I love the mission. It had taught me so much. I feel God's love for every one of you.

So funny story is that we are having a competition with some recent converts so they stop swearing! Haha each of us started out with 100 points and the one with the least amount of points looses and gets a pie smashed in their face! Haha I'm loosing with my companions. We are trying not to say dangit and shoot and dang and all those substitute swear words haha. Its been rough!

Looks like I'm gonna get a pie In my face though hahaha.
I love you all and I'm so grateful for so you do for me and the support you give me!

Bashers are my favorite

Hey family and friends! Life in Cali is pretty nutso. So many weird and unusual things happened this week. Lately people have been so mean and grumpy. I got bashed about 4 times this week hard core. The moon is changing so maybe that why idk. But its all good! I want to share one experience with you that was very powerful for me. I was on exchanges with sister hoschouer. She's awesome. We went and did a lot of knocking around and in her area where no one listens because it's a very rich place. People do not talk to you. But one man opened the door and began to talk with us. Pretty soon he started bashing us really hard. He was quoting scriptures from the bible and all that stuff and telling us faith with works is false and we can get to heaven by faith alone. Then he brought up the book of Mormon and how it's impossible that it's God's word and on and on. We'll I had the book of Mormon closely held to my chest and I could feel a warmth building within, underneath where it pressed against me. The holy ghost told me to testify of the book of Mormon and it was so strong. So I did. I boldly testified of its divinity and truth and that I new it because ive  prayed about it. The spirit blasted through me from head to my toes. Then the guy told me I should question that and the holy ghost didn't tell me anything. The spirit blasted through me again and a felt a power that only a testimony of this gospel can give you. I felt the spirit work in my heart and testify to me that I knew. I then told the man that I had received an answer from god and I would not deny that. Then we left. It was a very powerful exerience. I have come to know that your testimony is your life line. It is what keeps us from sinking in this quicksand that the world makes so enticing. Here in Cali people are so unhappy. It's very sad. But it makes me so grateful I am here to bring them that happiness if they choose to accept it. We have a baptism hopefully coming up. Amber is scheduled to be baptized on Sep 29. And so is her son DJ who is 8 years old. He is so excited. We taught them the gospel of Jesus Christ and he ate it up. He felt the spirit and it was incredible to see the lightbulbs going off in his head as we asked him questions. Children are so in tune and it keeps me in check to make sure I am being humble and submissive to my father in heaven. I love this gospel. I love it's truth and the power it gives us. It's the only way we can truly find joy and prosperity in this ever worsening world. I love you all. Be happy in your work! 😊

We live to die and die to live.

Good morning friends and family! This week was crazy! It's been very hot here in Anaheim and the fires are very intense. The beginning of this week some sisters in our zone got smoked out of their area. Ash was falling all over because the fires are so big and close. I got some in my eye haha. Our shirts were spotted black from the ash in the air. It was crazy. But a great conversation starter on the street! This week we did get our new sister! Her name is sister humphreys. I love her. She's originally called as ASL. So I'm picking some of that up and it's been really special. I can pray now in sign language! It's great. This week we found a lot of people to teach. It's been a blessing. Sister pressler and I have been working really hard and it's paying off. Sister humpherys is such a great addition to our companionship. She has helped a lot to further the work. We are teaching a family that we found a couple weeks ago. There's a mother and 2 boys. Amber, DJ, and Boston. They are adorable. Amber is 30 and a single mother looking for peace. As we have been talking with her she keeps telling us the warm feeling she has when we visit. She said "I feel like what you sisters are teaching me is filling a hole in my heart." She said that and I just felt a warmth in my soul. I know this gospel fills the holes in our souls. She has yet to come to church because of some weird things a work but we are praying hard she will be able to come and god will prepare a way for her. I know this gospel is true! I was reading a talk by pres Nelson in 2011. One line from that talk explains the gospel in one sentence. "It is true! We live to die and die to live!" How true that is. We live to die and death is our gate to live forever. Plan of salvation right there! Anyways I love you all. This gospel is true and I know that will all my heart. I love my savior and being his representative. I have a long way to go to being a better missionary but it's coming a long. The hardships of the mission are blessings and I love them. It's the strain that builds the muscle right? I know it's the same with missionary work. The harder it is the better you become and stronger your testimony.  God is so Good! I pray for you all!

Our new comp, we love her so much

Bit by a Bird

Hello everyone! I am so excited to email today! This last week was crazy! A lot of things happened! First we found a lady who's name is amber. She has two boys and lives in a small secluded house in the middle of old town Placentia. We found her house 3 weeks ago and she told us to come back. So we did and found her at home! She invited us in!!! That never happens here. So we were like super excited. She talked with us and the spirit was so strong. She really understood the restoration and we asked her what she was feeling as she talked with us. She said what we were saying was filling a hole in her heart. So we are still working with her. Our appointments fell through last Saturday and Sunday but we are hoping to see her soon and teach her more because she has the most potential we've seen anyone have so far.

Then we went on exchanges with the hermanas! This is where my title comes in to play. We went to a hispanic family for dinner and they had a bird named polly. He was the meanest old man bird ever. He bit me like 5 times hahaha. I was laughing so hard even though it hurt. She also fed us whole fish with the head and everything. I ate the eyes and tongue so that's cool.

Last week we got to have a special assignment assigned to us! Sister pressler and I will both be training a new sister coming Tomorrow! We will be a trio! Woohoo! It'll be fun.

Well I love you all! This church is absolutely true. We should always be looking for this gospel to fill our hearts and mend the holes in our souls. The book of Mormon is truly the word of god. I love it so much. As I read from it my heart burns and I know what it says is true. This gospel is the best! I absolutely love being a missionary. It's the greatest feeling to be a representative of christ. Christ is our savior. He loves us all so much! Have a good week!
- sister petzinger Akaka

Hey everyone again! So I missed a few things! We went to marrys kitchen!! It's a nice kitchen where they feed the homeless every day. We go and serve in the serving line. It was so fun!!! I loved it so much. So yeah! That was great! Very fulfilling. Love you all!

Week 3

Wow another week. It goes by fast when you're out in the heat doing the work! I love it here. We didn't get cathy to come to church on sunday. It was pretty sad but we will shoot for next week. Also there is a lady named renaye that we hope to keep seeing. She's super sweet and very open to the gospel. It's amazing. We found her knocking and I don't remember if I talked about her already. But we are hoping to meet with her again. This week was pretty slow. Not much happened but I got to go on exchanges and that was super fun! The weeks are starting to blend together so I can't remember what happened this week or last haha. We've done a lot of finding the last two weeks so my heels are blistered. I love it. I think it helps me feel like I'm doing something haha. On the last exchange last Saturday we visited a woman named nancy. Nancy is an  older African American woman. Sweetest gal ever. She has the sweetest accent. Anyways, Nancy was shot in the head 30 years ago. Right by her temple on the right side of her head. She survived and walked out of the hospital. She's a miracle. But the gun shot has had a toll on her memory. She has a hard time remembering the lessons but knows without a doubt Joe smith is a prophet and the book of Mormon is true! Haha she's so cute. It was very neet when we showed her the first vision. We introduced her to the new video. It was super powerful and the holy ghost testified to me once again of the truthfulness of the restoration. I know without a doubt this gospel is true. It has blessed my life and I can't thank God more for that. His son Jesus Christ suffered and crucified in my name as well as yours. He is our advocate. I love him dearly and I'm so grateful for him. My call as a missionary has taught me so much and it continues. I hope you all have a wonderful week. I love you guys!

Suffer the little children

This week was so great! I can't write down everything but I'll tell you all about something very special that I have noticed. Here in southern California it's very hard to get people to talk with you. If you're lucky you can get them to take a picture of Jesus. Which is great but the goal is to have a qgc which means quality gospel conversation. The other night we went to a city called Brea with my district. There is a down town area that is very fancy and lots of people walk around there all the time. We went tabling. We take a table and take it to a street corner that's busy and set it up. Then we decorate it with book of mormons and pamphlets. Then we talk to as many people as we can! It's actually really really fun. We didn't really get anyone to talk to us a whole lot but it's alright! The coolest thing happens though. Every single child, under the ages 4 or 5, immediately walk towards us. Letting go of who's ever hand they were holding or walking away from their parents to come and talk to us. Their smiles were so big! And of course there parents would freak out and come running to grab them. But as they walked away the child would look back at us smiling and waving. At first I didn't notice it. But after around 3 kids did it I began to notice. They were drawn to us because they could feel of the holy ghost and sacred calling we hold. I have no doubt they could feel the presence of angels that were with us and maybe even see them. Children are so precious and it was a blessing to be able to witness their goodness. It's things like this that keep me going throughout the week when you feel like progress is slow.
Yesterday we also had a really special experience happen. I talked about the felicianos last week. Well we couldn't get a hold of them and three appointments fell through this week as well. But last night we were walking around down town and it's like little Mexico haha. But we kept walking and we honestly walked for like 20 minutes without feeling like we needed to stop. But then we realized we had been walking towards the felicianos. So sister pressler was really feeling like we needed to go see them. So we did. We got there and they were home. Miracle. Cause cathy is never home. My dad taught me some Tagalog and when she opened the door she didn't look super thrilled to see us but then I said "toe po!" Which means hello or something. Her face was super confused cause I pronounced it way wrong hahaha. So she corrected me and laughed super hard. She let us in and we talked about the restoration. She hasn't come to church in a long time so she and her daughter don't remember very much. The conversation led into a very strong commitment to come to church. My companion and I spoke with the power of the holy ghost. I couldn't believe what I had said when I said it but I did! I said "cathy if you come to church 4 time in a row, you will find a new job that works with your schedule. It will pay you enough, and you will have time for your children. You will also be given a calling and fulfill that calling. And most importantly you will be happy" I felt the power of the holy ghost working through me and my companion. She also promised things to them if they read their scriptures and prayed. The spirit in that room was tangible. I've never done anything like that. And after I did I was actually worried because I had promised her some very specific things. Please pray for them. Pray that they will come to church! They need it so much:) you are all awesome and I love you! It always helps to hear from you all (especially my family), so please email! I'll try my best to get back to you!

California!

Hello everyone! It's so good to finally email again! It's been a while! So it's been really great here and I love it! It's pretty hot here so I'm getting a great tan! Our apartment is kinda old but it's great and this morning it cost us like 10 bucks to do our laundry haha. Isn't that crazy! I was like wowzers it's expensive. We have a window ac unit so we can already keep our room cool where we sleep. So that's a blessing. And the other day our water turned green and smelled like a creek. Lol and the bath water turned brown. Sooooo that was cool.  My trainer's name is sister pressler. She's awesome. Most of our time is spent finding and knocking doors which is super great. Here in southern cali there aren't very many people who want to talk with you hahaha. But it's fine. We are working with some recent converts name gretta and Carl. They are amazing. Gretta was baptized 3 weeks ago now and Carl was an inactive memeber. Gretta is so awesome. She is now a ward missionary which means she gets to turn around and do a ton of missionary work herself after being converted. I think it's so cool. Her husband will be starting a stop smoking program tomorrow which we will be helping him with a lot. So if you could pray for Carl cause it's not going to be easy! Also we found an inactive family last week named the Felicianos. They are Filipino! The mom is a member but inactive and her son is also. But her daughter Caitlyn is 12 but not baptized. So we are working with them to reactivate them and hopefully get caitlyn baptized! I love them already so much! They are amazing. So miracle of the week is we were driving to where we thought was a less active members house and the gps took us to not a less active members house haha. But I had an impression to get out of the car and talk to people anyways. So we did! After walking around for a few minutes and having door shut in our faces we found some little girls! One was 2 and the other was 4. They are the cutest. We got to talk to them about Jesus and give them pictures. They were so curious to who we were and why we were walking around telling people about Jesus! Well we found their dad and were able to talk to him for a bit and invite him and his family to church. They didn't show but it was still super cool how god works. He literally led us to that family. Also as we were driving around towards the evening last week I saw a girl sitting at a bus stop and felt like we needed to talk to her. So we pulled over and walked up to introduce our selve. We'll right as we were about to have a conversation a bus came by and picked her up. I was like "wait! Atleast take a book of mormon!" Haha and she was like " I already have one actually! I'll read though I promise!" I was like what the heck! Ya dumb bus. I was so sad cause she was prime. But it's ok. I'm praying that We'll find her again. It's so cool to be able to talk to people about christ. It's so fulfilling and I feel the spirit so strongly. I love this gospel and feel the truthfulness of it every day. This gospel is true! There is no other way in this life we can be truly happy and that's the truth. Christ is our joy. He is our song:) I love you all! It's so good to hear from you!

The Music Room

Hello everyone!! It's been so great to be here at the mtc. I love it so much. The spirit is strong here. My district is awesome and we have become super close. Our elders are hilarious! They are like brothers and the sisters in my district are like sisters! I love then all! The last week has been pretty busy. We have taught a new investigator named karisa. She is super sweet and the first lesson we had with her was so spiritual. My companion sister bull and I were so amazed at how strong the spirit was there. I have really made it a goal to be a miracle worker. Meaning doing what the Lord would have me do. One of our ecclesiastical leaders randomly showed up and brought us to a room. Just my district. He gave one of the most powerful messages. It was based off of Samuel the lamanite. If you aren't familiar with his story then get familiar with it. A summary of it is Samuel was not a prophet he was a missionary like me. He was preaching to the people and they beat him and banished him from the city. Many would have gladly walked away from that. But Samuel prayed and the holy ghost told him to go back! I'm sure he was apprehensive. But he obeyed and on the wall of the city he declared the word of God and cried for the people to repent. The holy ghost helped him proclaim with power and authority. He had courage and was bold. No arrows or stones could hit him as he bore testimony. How amazing is that? The spirit is my weapon out here. He is by my side and I know I could do nothing without him. He is my life line to my heavenly father.
Also the food here is getting old. Haha but I love their lentil soup! I eat 2 big bowls ! They have desert every lunch and dinner so I have to be careful. The funniest thing is seeing the elders eat serial for breakfast lunch and dinner. Hahaha it's hilarious! One of the elders eats so much. One time he stacked a good 6 plates in his tray and 3 bowls of food. He's the skinniest guy and eats 2 times more that the biggest elder in our district! Haha it's pretty impressive her hadn't gained weight! Anyways, always good talking to all of you! Email me please! It's good to hear from you all!
- Sister Petzinger

Also I titled my email the music room because we found a place in our building that plays music and it's so peaceful. We had book of Mormon study with our whole district the spirit was so intense! It's a blessing to have found the music because it really helps the missionaries relax and feel peace when things get busy and your worn out! Also I have seen Hermana barthlome a ton! How blessed is that!

Hey everyone! It's been a great week here at the mtc! Im super excited for the days to come. The field is approaching and boy am I excited! A teacher that came for a day to sub for our other teacher went to the Anaheim cali mission and it was so cool to ask her questions! My companion and I are teaching someone named rebekah. She is awesome! I really love teaching even though most of the time the people we teach are already members. It's great practice and you can still feel the spirit so strong. Also this last Sunday the missionaries had a once in a life time experience. The mission presidents from around the world came to train here at the mtc. Well guess who trains them!? The quorum of the twelve apostles! The spirit was so special for the couple days they presided on campus. I saw elder Holland walk out of a building and he waved an smiled at us:) he was in a hurry though and we are not aloud to approach them!  On Sunday we had a very special opportunity. I joined the choir here as well as 900 other missionaries! Haha so pretty much 80 percent of us. Our devotional was amazing. The whole 12 was there. We sang to them Jesus once of humble birth. How special it was to stand as a witness of 900 missionaries in front of the men that called us to the work through the inspiration of god. The spirit was stronger than I ever felt before. So many missionaries and prophets all in the same room. I felt invincible. I know I am not, but as a soldier in Zion on the front lines against the adversary I knew with the help of god I can do anything. As the apostles stood up to leave all 1200 of us stood and waved as they waved back! I cried slot haha. The most amazing part was without any direction or planning all the missionaries began to sing called to serve all at the same time. It was powerful. I still get the chills thinking about it. I love this gospel. It is true!! There is no other way we will fulfill our purpose unless we fallow our savior and become like him to the best of our abilities! I love you all family and friends. May God be with you and bless you.

First 3 Days!!

Hello everyone!!! It's been a great couple days here at the mtc. I love it here. I have really come to know what it means to be tired. Haha but its a great kind of tired! I really love the feeling that comes to me when i wake up every day knowing from the time my head leaves the pillow in the morning until i lay my head down at night, my time is devoted to my savior jesus christ. He has walked by me these last few days and i am so excited to have him with me for the next year and a half. I love this gospel!! The last few days i have been so fortunate to be with the district that i have. They are amazing! My branch president (who steps in for you mission president for your stay at the mtc) told us that our district has been the most obedient district for years!! And i have no doubt of that. The missionaries i have been priveleged to work with are all so amazing and there testimonies are those of the most elect. I know i have been saved for this time and this work, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man! How sweet is that! i am so excited to continue and learn and grow. It is a beautiful work and i can only be grateful to be apart of such a righteous cause! i have been able to see hermana barthlome 3 times!!! woohoo! She is amazing and i want to share an experience i had with her. The day i arrived i was super super excited! But like all missionaries i was a little shaky and thinking "wow this is finally happening!" and as i entered the building i saw this cute Hermana Barthlome sitting and waiting for me!! She smiled the biggest smile and was so happy to see me! She gave me a huge hug and told me she loved me and she was so proud of me and so happy i was there! It meant so much! Yesterday i was praying for an experience to know that the lord was walking by my side. This experience with my bestie came into my mind and the spirit whispered to me that this is how the savior greats me everyday on the mission. He wraps me up in his arms and says "sister petzinger i love you and i am so glad you are here. I am so proud of you" i testify that this is true! he is here with me always and we are loved by our heavenly father! out of all the names our god decided for us to address him by he wants us to call him father! how endearing is that! I love him! he works in mysterious ways but it always is the best way! I just want to let my mom and chris know that i love them and my heart will be in the sealing room with you. I want to testify of the power of matrimony and that being sealed forever is such a powerful thing. You will be blessed for your efforts. Also emails are awesome! Please talk to me!! I can email on p days which is today and reply to you all day long from my phone until 6:00 when meetings start again. we are teaching an investigator, she is just our teacher, and her name is holly. My teacher was a missionary herself and is acting like one of her investigators. she is very good at it and it was amazing to be able to teach our first lesson yesterday. I am so excited to continue teaching and planning lessons. It is a grate experience. My companion is named sister Bull. She is awesome. We work well together and get along pretty well. Another sister in my district is so amazing! Her name is sister schultz and has the prettiest blue eyes and blonde hair. i secretly call her Cinderella because she is so sweet and positive all the time! i love her and enjoy her Christ like energy. I have also been sleeping like a rock. I mean seriously a rock. i hit the pillow at night and then all of a sudden the alarm is going off and we are up and at it again! How great is that! I love you all and hope you have a great day!:)
